Wear Red and Thrive
Existing or Truly Living? is the title of today’s Our Daily Bread
devotional. In short, the message is Jesus came and made it
possible for us to live life abundantly. (John 10:10) We have the
opportunity. Are we making use of it?
If we’re not taking good care of ourselves, it is quite possible that we are making it more difficult for us to live life to the fullest. We need to make sure that we give adequate attention our mental, emotional and physical health. Sometimes, we just make other things the priority as if our bodies can continue to deliver maintenance free. Even our cars need gas and regular service.
If you haven’t gotten started on creating a healthier you, Friday, February 2, 2007 is the perfect day to start. Pick out the perfect outfit for National Wear Red Day. The American Heart Association designed this day to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke. The goal is to make sure that everyone knows that heart disease is the number one killer of American women and to get us on the right track to doing something to improve our odds and reduce our risk.
The wonderful thing about fighting heart disease is that you also reduce your risk of so many other major health concerns including, breast cancer and diabetes. Find something to wear on Friday and take steps to make your life an even healthier and more abundant one.
