Doctors

I've scheduled my annual doctor visits to all be around the same time.  I've been to see at least one doctor for each of the last three weeks.  I've been poked, prodded, tested and analyzed.  It is a blessing to have the doctor tell me that I'm fine and that I should see him or her next year.  Sometimes, I wonder if they really know what they are talking about.  I feel as if I spend the most time in the waiting room and very little time being examined.  I'm prayerful that all of their expertise helped make quick and accurate diagnosis.  After all, they can't simply look at me and determine what is going on inside.

I praise the Lord, that I do have a doctor that has actually counted the number of hairs on my head.  Luke 12:7 (NIV)
Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

I remind myself with every visit that God is in control and is the ultimate doctor who can make the perfect diagnosis without any test.  As I schedule what I hope to be my last medical test of the season, I must count on the Lord.   For God is always with me. Hebrews 13:5 (New King James)  For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
