Perfecting the Day

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. ~Matthew 6:33

I thought my plans for my first day of Lent were perfect.  The whole plan was based on getting up early and getting a great start.  Getting up early didn’t happen and the plan had to shift from the start.  I did have my alarm set, however, my body decided that it would make up for my 4 AM viewing of an infomercial (also not part of my plan).

I didn’t know it, but God’s plan trumped mine.  I didn’t have to do much seeking in the morning because God simply came to visit me.  Before I got out of bed, I turned on the television and heard Bill Winston Ministries for the first time.  It would appear to be a random occurrence, but we know better.

Pastor Winston preached on the Law of Confession.  Now, this is not a confession of sin.  It is a confession of alignment with God.  The important thing here is that you speak about yourself as God speaks about you.  To know what God is saying, you go to the Word.  Bill Winston Ministries is selling a program Law of Confession that it describes as follows:

God created this universe with the words that He spoke and likewise, you were made to manifest every word that you speak. There is power in your words and you will have what you say whether its good or bad…so watch your mouth.

When I got home, I decided to search some of the scriptures that were mentioned during the broadcast.  The problem I had was that I was intensely listening and barely writing and I had to become a low level detective to find anything.

Not finding what I wanted right away led me to find exactly what I needed.  I landed on the Speak Faith website which confirmed everything Pastor Winston has said that morning.  Speak Faith acknowledges that words have power and proclaims that we are to confess the word and manifest God’s power.  Awesome!

As it turns out, my day was perfect.  It was made even more perfect through Christ.  The day’s not over and I have to get my morning exercise in at night.  I will be speaking faith and claiming the victory in all things.

Romans 4:17
As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.
