Feast Day - Women's Day

Spring Training Challenge – Bible Verse - Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Today was Women's Day at my church.  What a joyful celebration it was!!  It actually started on Saturday, March 10th with a women’s program directed by our guest speaker, Rev. Stephany D. G. Jackson.  She lead several women from our Women’s League in a talk show style program where each represented women from the bible.  Each person did a wonderful job and helped those of us in the audience get a new perspective of the women of the bible and to think of these women anew as powerful examples.

The scripture for today was Deuteronomy 30:15-20 & Matthew 24:9-14.  Rev. Stephany told us that our theme “Christ-Centered Women, Praising & Worshiping God in Unity, Spirit and Truth” was not a challenge for us.  Praise the Lord! that we have been able to come together as women and Praise the Lord in song, dance, word and more in a united way.  Now, we must step out on faith and take our mission the next step and conquer the next challenge.

As I think about the Spring Training Challenge, I know that I have done well the first three weeks.  I can also say that there is more for me to do.  I need to take on additional challenge and know in Christ I have the victory.

One benefit about our church family is that we don’t have to do anything alone.  Of course, we have The Lord.  We also have each other.  Today our brothers demonstrated their support by providing, preparing and serving us after each service.  They truly helped to make a blessed feast day.
