Pitiful

1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Pitiful. Just pitiful. That is the only way to describe my attempt at tricep pushups yesterday. I had just looked at a picture of myself and determined that I wanted to transform my log arms into guns. I was exciting about my upper body class. It was a little warm and humid when the class started.
Typically, that doesn’t bother me. The instructor had us in high plank with our arms directly beneath our shoulders. We were to lower ourselves slowly keeping our elbows pointing to the rear and push ourselves back up to the starting position. The instructor said, “Do as many as you can before you get on your knees.” I did what can only be a called a lay down. There was no push up onto my arms. I immediately got on my knees and did a sad series of pushups. I was such a weakling. It was sad. I didn't have enough strength to be embarrassed. I know I shouldn't be embarrased. I'm trying and I have a long way to go. Good thing I have the One in me to help me transform these pitiful pushups and sculpt these arms.
