Remember the Love
Jeremiah 29:11-13
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
I had the good fortune of seeing Oprah in NY yesterday. I was excited about the opportunity of being one among the number of the Oprah audience. 6,000 others and I were audience members for the taping of her second show for the new season. The show will air today, September 11th and appropriately will remember our national tragedy that happened 6 year ago when terror attacked us on US soil. Oprah's show focused on the children allowing them to tell their own stories.
One thing that struck me is that love is what moved the children forward. Remembering the love and honoring their lost parents seemed as important as the love of those around them each and every day. They have what one called a "new normal" that is vastly different than what they knew on September 10, 2001.
As we remember and honor those lost on 9/11, remember they loved and were loved by so many. As we think of our lives today, recognize the love. Despite this tragedy, God has plans for us that include his eternal love.
