Toward The Goal
Philippians 3:13-14; 13Brothers, I do not
consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do:
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
In our attempt to reach our Divine Health goal, we need to focus on the goal and forget out missteps. We have a habit of letting one bad moment or poor choice influence the next. Typically, the impact is more negative than it should be. For instance, the last time you ate something not on your healthy eating diet, did you continue on you bad diet path or immediately get back on your plan? Odds are you told yourself you'd start again tomorrow and added a couple of bad choices on top of the first. Instead of putting off what we should start right now, we need to choose to focus on the goal, immediately forgot that poor choice, and get back on track. Whatever you've eaten before reading this is the past; make your next food decision an even better one. Decide to get closer to the goal.
