Sustaining
Psalm55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
Some days it seems as if there are simply just too many little things that get in the way of the big things. When this happens, the plans of the day just get put aside and something supposedly more pressing takes its place. I tried to create plans to prevent this from happening, but it just doesn't always work. One thing I did sometime ago was to put important things in my daily calendar. For instance, my lunchtime workout is booked for the next several months. However, there are days when I get meeting invites for times that I am unavailable from people who can see that I have something at that time. When I can I decline or move the time, but some work won't permit.
I think the key to keeping on track is coming back to the plan as soon as possible. The benefit of the days that worked should be able to carry and sustain us through the imperfect days as long as we push get back on the plan. Also, we must remember that we are never alone and have God as our advocate is working with us. I'm planning on tomorrow being an even better day.
