Genesis 24:12 Then he prayed, "O LORD, God of my master Abraham, give me success today, and show kindness to my master Abraham.

This morning, I pulled myself out of my bed and out into the street for a little run.  This shouldn't have been noteworthy.  I should have been routine.  At least, it was my routine in past years.  However, I've been having difficulty getting my body to follow my plan of the day.  Really, my mind has been to easy to give up on the plan.  Wanting a little more sleep, not wanting to be cold or just needing more time have all been excuses that I have let get in the way of my plan. 

Last night, I went to bed in time to get plenty of sleep.  When I woke a couple of minutes before my alarm, I noticed that it was too dark for me to get outside.  This time, I didn't let the dark stop my plan.  I did make an adjustment.  While I didn't run for a long as I usual or as far, I did have a successful run.  Just doing it was success for the day.  I can do it.  I'm sure that it will feel better in days or weeks to come and the simple act of getting outside will soon just be routine...again.  Today, I'm celebrating my little success.
