At Home Winning

I still haven't watched the entire finale of the biggest loser.  I do know the winners.  The most impressive part to me is that Jerry Hayes is the "At Home" winner.  After spending only 2 weeks on the ranch, this 63 year old participant with multiple health concerns took is challenge home and came back a winner.  Not only did he win $100,000, he won a completely new life.

At 369 pounds, he fainted at the Ranch, had diabetes, high blood pressure, plantaritis, and gout.  Now, 64 and 177 pounds lighter all of his health issues are gone and he's off his medication.  The secret to his progress seems to be no secret at all.  He followed his plan with dedicated discipline.  He exercised and focused on his intake.  Together with his wife, they ignored any doubt that they couldn't or wouldn't be successful and keep working toward their goal.

He's created a complete transformation.  He still has more work to do.  In a recent interview with The DeadBolt, he mentioned he has to gain weight and exercise less.

As his life transformation continues, I wonder what it takes for others of us to get on track and stay there.  What inspiration do we need every day to move us forward?  I know there have been times when working out and eating right are much easier and more natural than others.  I'm looking for ways to make those days more often than the days I eat too much sugar and exercise too little.  I do think a little prayer and praise help.

If you have a suggestion or a story of something that has helped you, please share.
