Blessings of the Body

Ephesians 4:16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

As we work on improving our Divine Health, we need to remind ourselves to love ourselves just as we are in the present moment.  The body we carry today is a blessing.  Of course, we do need to take care of our temples.  However, I think sometimes we take for granted how well everything is working as we try to reach some higher standard.  God has blessed us.  Today is a blessing; our bodies along with our spirits are blessings for us.  As we take on a positive attitude to our bodies, our efforts to improve will benefit.  When we are feeling encouraged, it is easier to continue.  Even through the hard moments when the end feels no where in site, we are blessed.  There are those 30 minute work-outs where every minute is a chore and I look at the clock almost every other minute.  Celebrating that my body and mind can take me through each moment helps me get to the end.

I'm starting today looking for the blessings on my path.  Getting my body out of bed is one of the first.  Praise the Lord for the first step!
