Finish Strong...The Choice Is Yours
Matthew 26:39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will."
We're near the end of the Gospel Fit Challenge with my church. I named the last 21 days "Finish Strong." Today, I received an e-mail from Simple Truths, a source for inspirational information for a book they are selling titled "Finish Strong." The first paragraph was exactly the attitude that I wanted to project for the end of the challenge. They spoke of attitude and believing. Their focus is your business life and I think this works for all of life. With proper attitude we can meet our goals, whatever they are. Of course, we need more than attitude alone. We do need to collaborate with God. Our goals need to be in line with what God wants for us. When that happens, we immediately have more power and resources to empower us to the finish line.
While I'm not at my final goal with the end of this challenge, I am closer and am more motivated to continue to get to all of my goals. There is more for me to do and my pursuit of Divine Health is the foundation of it all. I am committed to finish strong over the long-term. Knowing and believing this helps me through the moments when I don't feel like taking another step.
I know I can count on others to remind me of my goals and to encourage me continually. Research says that those who have work-out partners are stay more committed. When no one else is there, I know I can count on the source that is always with me. This doesn't take away the need for me to act. My actions, each step, are important in helping me move forward.
I'm committed; I believe; I have faith and I will finish strong.
