Prayer And Confidence

1 John 5:14-15  14This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

When I told my mother about the issue of my eye, she had a story to tell me about one of her friends  attending a healing service and receiving healing.  My mother told me how the woman was lead to this service and that the healing minister called out her name.  The minister thought this was in reference to someone else he knew, but it was for my mother's friend.  She went up and received her healing.  One of the most important things of the evening was that this woman had complete faith that God was going to answer.

More than a message on healing, the experience proved to my mother the power of prayer and faith.  Don't forget the power of prayer.  Remember to work to increase your faith.  Recalling how God has been faithful in the past reaffirms his commitment to us today.  The message to me with my eye flashes is to take proper care, see my specialist, pray and pray more, and have the confidence that God hears me and will answer...positively.
