Seeing The Good News

Matthew 9:29-31  29Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you"; 30and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, "See that no one knows about this." 31But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.

I went to my Retina Specialist today.  Four different types of drops were put into my eyes.  My eye pressure was checked before my eyes dilated.  Once fully dilated, my eyes, retina and vitreous were fully examined.  The verdict is no retina detachment and no vitreous detachment.  Although, I have none of the risk factors to have  either of these conditions happen to me at this age, my vitreous is pulling at my retina.

The Eye by Steven FernandezBoth doctors I've seen say this is no issue.  Praise the Lord!  I can continue to see all that God has put in front of me.  I really try not to take things for granted, but I think that I have not fully appreciated the wonder of my vision.  The flash that appears in the left corner of my eye is simply annoying.  The doctors seem to think this is something that I should get used to seeing.  I'm working on a healing.  I've prayed for it and know that I'll receive it.  I'll also be working to find out what else I can do to improve my vision and get rid of my annoyance.

I've been thinking about why this has happened to me.  Not in a "woe is me" attitude, but what is the benefit.  I've found two.  The first is this extended break from exercise has made me appreciate my ability to do what I want when I want.  I'm back now and the exercise is on the daily plan.  The other is this is now an issue that I will share with you.  I'll be providing more informaition on eye health because this is a concern for me.  If there was no lighting bolt in my eye, I probably wouldn't focus on the topic.  (Bad pun, I lknow.)

The truly good news is that I know I am continually blessed and my vision blesses me every day.
