In A Blink Of An Eye

1 Chronicles 4:40 They found rich, good pasture, and the land was spacious, peaceful and quiet. Some Hamites had lived there formerly.

Have you had one of those days that ends before you really got started.  There was certainly more work than day for me today.  My day started so much later than I thought.  I was up for about 2 hours before I realized that my clock had stopped in the middle of the night.  The day that was ahead of schedule immediately left me behind.  Considering all the work that I planned along with all the things that were thrown at me, I left more on my to-do list than I had at the start of the day.

In this kind of flurry of a day, I need to really make sure I take a moment.  A moment for myself, a moment to reflect and, at least, a moment to commune with God.  Really, I need more than a moment.  It seems that a moment is all that I have.  Perhaps, I can find some wasted time in my day.  Then again, the pressure to be efficient every single moment is just too much.

I will find the riches of life along with the peace.  God has carved out the place for me and his people have been there before.  In this blink of an eye, I'll envision it.  It may be my best moment all day.
