Health Care Synergy
Matthew 25:36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
I've bee watching C-Span for the Health Care Reform Town Halls. I have dissappointed by some and impressed by others. It is not simply the perspective of the speaker that is of interest, the passion on all those speaking is incredible. I don't know if this bill as written today is what should pass. What I do know is that we are some smart, passionate and compassionate people within the U.S. and we can pull all sides together to come with something better than what we have right now. We should stop looking at this as compromise, but synergy. We need to make 1 + 1 = 5. We have to do it. We know we need to care for ourselves. Jesus calls us to care for our sick. We need a plan and a system that puts on track today to care for us all now and for tomorrow's tomorrow.
As we celebrate the life of Senator Kennedy, we should galvanize our efforts to bring about the dream of his career for the people of the United States. We can come together -- starting right now -- to build a present and future that we all can be proud to have created.
