Fumble Recovery

Luke 1:68 "Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people.

Voorheesville Football - #12 Jevan running in the rain by HckySoOpening night football is just over.  Pittsburgh beat Tennessee field goal in overtime for a score of 13-10.  In the 4th quarter, one of my favorite players,
Hines Ward fumbled on a play that should have lead to the end of the game.  Immediately after the fumble, you could tell that Hines Ward was furious with himself and he focused his energy while blocking the opposing linemen.  I imagine that a regular hit from Ward is pretty tough to take and a very annoyed Ward adds even more power.

Of course, Ward would have liked to redeem himself from that play.  However, he could not do it alone. Others came to his rescue.  His team, along with his support, managed to get the job done,  The team set up
Jeff Reed, who successfully kicked a 33 yard field goal to win and end the game.

Your life is much like this.  You can go about your business and even try to correct your mistakes.  However you can't get it done all by yourself.  You need others to help you along the way.  In addition, the ultimate Redeemer is the Lord.  The redemption from God will bring life more abundantly and everlasting life.

As you travel on your Gospel Fit journey remember that you need a team to work with you at every step.  Also know that your ultimate partner is the Lord, who will recovery your fumbles every time.
