David Walker, president and CEO of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation visited CNBC's Squawk Box on Friday, September 11th. He was also former U.S. Comptroller General who was appointed by Bill Clinton and says he's been a political independent for years. He agrees with President Obama on the need for some level of universal health care and is putting considerable emphasis on cutting costs.
Former Governor Pataki was also on set that day to ensure that there is a well-rounded conversation.
