Giving Up For A Friend.
John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
Did you watch the Biggest Loser this past Tuesday? It was only the third week of the season and a great third week it was. Tracy who had been in the hospital until this week, made some interesting self-serving choices that resulted in no support from the famous trainers. Her partner, Mo, supported her even when she made decisions and did not consult him. What an example for others or was he not focusing enough on his own goal. Since he and Tracy made it to the next week, it looks like he made the right choice.
When it came time to decide who to send home, Antoine & Sean volunteered themselves. They were committed to keeping Shay at the house. If you haven't been watching, you might not know that Shay is the heaviest ever person on the show partnered with Daniel, who held that record last season. Clearly, Shay has had a challenging life and little family to support her once she leaves the Biggest Loser campus.
This had to be a difficult choice for Antoine & Sean. After all, the goal for them is to stay to the bitter end to win the contest and actually lose the most weight. Heading home would require a ton more self-discipline and focus. They choose to help a friend, a very new friend. They both seem to be on track. I'll be looking forward to seeing them both at the end. They both provided inspiration to help others and help myself.
