Traveling Without A Plan
Job 42:2 "I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.
I took a drive that was about 2 hours and 30 minutes. I don't remember when exactly I ate before I hit the road. It could have been an hour or more. Somewhere along my journey, I was starving. I had the kind of hunger that was distracting. The problem I had was where to stop and what to get. So many of my options were fast food junk and I gave in to the easy tasty idea. I really couldn't even think of what would possibly be a better option. At least that is what I told myself.
Knowing I made a less than optimal choice on that trip, made me decide to be better prepared for the next trip. I made a separate trip to a store and bought a box of protein bars and am storing them in my car. The key to sticking on the weight-loss or maintenance path is really to have a plan. Traveling without a plan is an easy way to get led astray. Even if you don't have a box of food in your car, you should decide what to do and where to go when you find that you need food. The plan that can't falter requires that you actually build the plan.
