I went to the game. The Bears @ the Giants. I had great seats! The Giants won! Yeah! And both teams were in the Pink.
Clearly Breast Cancer Awareness Month is being celebrated by the NFL. Their uniforms and sneakers have pink accents. Pink towels hang from their hips. Everyone is encouraged to participate. As we entered the stadium, we're given our day-glo necklaces and pendants that we are too way during the PINK celebration.
The pendant reminds us that "Annual Catch: Annual Screenings Save Lives ." This initiative is part of the NFL's partnership with the American Cancer Society.
125 Breast Cancer survivors dressed in pink with pink baseball caps, formed a giant pink ribbon during Kelly Rowland's performance of the National Anthem. Of course, she wore pink as well. The entire performance is below. The important thing after raising your awareness is for action to be taken. Make sure you take action in your own fight against breast cancer.
