Seeking The Joy

Matthew 2:10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.

Can you imagine leaving from Turkey on foot and walking to Bethlehem?  Would you do it to see our Saviour?  Of course, we think we would.  Would we even be capable of such a journey.  Since we would never go anywhere on our own, we could make the trek.  The Lord would be our guide, our strength and our provider.

Sometimes, I have to ask myself am I seeking out the Lord enough? I may not have some journey across nations nor do I have any restrictions from praising my God, however, I wonder if I should be doing more or doing something differently.  Not only is diet an exercise a concern, but all of my life.  The goal is to be better connected to God in all that I do and have results that show how God is operating in my life.  As we celebrate Jesus' birth, I need to focus on what this truly means for me and how I should build greater connection.  I have been exceedingly blessed and praise the Lord for the blessings.  This season will be one to be thankful and draw closer.
