Lent - Day 5 - I Am Not Ashamed
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that
brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to
the Gentile. (Read Romans 1:1-16)
This Lenten Season is preparing us for focusing on the Good News of the gospel. To truly celebrate the Gospel we cannot be ashamed. We know Luke 19:40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
I know I have been abundantly blessed by the Lord and my faith in the Gospel. It is not a secret that only God is the reason for the good in my life. Sharing my testimony not only encourages others, it encourages me. God has taken me through so much before that I have to celebrate the joy. I know from first hand experience that God will never leave me or forsake me (Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”)
The ultimate power of God is the our eternal salvation. Praise the Lord that this is open to everyone and anyone who believes. The season of Lent focuses us on our relationship with Christ and our salvation, our greatest gift. What Good News!!
