Drinking Candy Bars
Psalm 100:4-5 NIV “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
It's been more than a minute since my last post. Of course I have my own little drama to share, but most of that will have to wait. I'm celebrating I'm back.
Everything hasn't been perfect, but all is good and blessed. Thank you Lord! I'm getting ready for publicly displaying my thankfulness.. I am, however, about to make some changes and invite you to joain me. One is to face the reality of what I am putting in mouth. What is in eath bite and how many bites I'm taking both need to be considered. Recently, I've ome to realize that I've been drinking the equivalent of a candy bar almost every day. In an attempt to be healthy, I've been drinking cranberry juice. Sometimes, I throw back a couple of glasses before I know it. Here's the problem, cranberry juice has about 140 calories a glass. I know you can do the math. 2 glasses equals 280 calories. This is 60 calories more than the average candy bar that I would eat.
You can have too much of a good thing. I'm cutting back on the cranberry juice. I'm looking for other ways to cut back on hidden sugar and the calories that go with also the sweet stuff. In fact, I'm going to give myself a little post-Thanksgiving, pre-Christmas challenge to kickstart even better health. Of course, you can join me.
Now that I'm back, it's on!
