Thankful Thankful Thanksgiving
Colossians 2:6-7 ~ 6 "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."
I started off the day with a plan to make sure I exercised in the morning. I didn't press myself to get up and get moving. It almost didn't happen. I sat around with the family, just lounging. I was dresses for the workout. I just didn't make any moves toward the door...for hours. My father's plan included heading to the track and I joined him. Technically, I was still on plan. We left the house moments before noon.
The weather was perfect and the sun was shining. It was a great day for a run. I haven't been running as much as I'd like and I feel as if I'm running through water. Since I know it will only get better if I keep it up, I talked myself through every lap. I'm not one of those people who think I have to run every step, so I added a walking lap in the middle. This little power walk gave me enough recovery time to make it to my goal of the day.
With the exercise under my belt (pun intended), I was more than ready to eat. Keeping it in control was still a goal. I think I did pretty good, especially when I threw away the apple pie because the taste wasn't worth the calories. Now, I just have to make sure other people eat more of the leftovers than I do.
It was a great day to count my blessings of health, family & food. I'm truly thankful thankful!
