18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I visited the First Baptist Church of Glenarden today. Dr. Tony Evans of Oak Cliff Fellowship Church, Dallas, Texas gave the good word. And a great word it was. The question to ask is are you a disciple for Christ. You can't be a spiritual CIA representative and expect all the blessings and authority that Jesus empowers. You can be saved and live a defeated life.

I know I have to make sure the defeated life is under my feet. I am a disciple for Christ and working to be a better one everyday and every year. My discipleship has to include how I take care of my body. I need to take care of the house that God has given me to share my spirit with the world. Sometimes, I need to do a better job. Today, I'm committing to focusing on improving how I take care of myself. I'm having a little personal challenge for the 25 days leading up ti Christmas. Of course, you can all join me.
