9 Days of Christmas Love
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
The crowds, the crazy traffic even in the parking lot, the extra long to-do lists are making my head spin. Not really, I haven't participated in the shopping craziness just yet. The thought of getting out there reminds me that there is way too much craziness out there. All the commotion can make me forget what I'm really supposed to be doing and what all of this is about.
God sent Jesus to us to love us supremely. In turn we need to love ourselves and each other. This is a serious calling. That should motivate us to act. While demonstrating love doesn't have to look like a present, I guess I'll get myself out in the crowd to buy a couple of things that are small trinkets to display my love for others. I will love all those along the way who hurriedly go about there business and cross my path.
